How to care for your Red Thread Lyocell garment
Although dry cleaning is preferable, we know no one has time for that. You can wash our lyocell garment at home. Here is how:
- Hand washed in cold water with a gentle detergent. No need to wring too hard.
- If you use a washing machine, the gentle cycle is appropriate and drip drying is always better than machine drying. But if you must, you can briefly toss it in the dryer with a damp towel to soften the fabric.
- After washing, hang your lyocell items up to dry. Drip dry or flat dry is fine.
- If you want to iron your garment, use the lowest setting.
The most important thing when handling Lyocell is to avoid high heat. Whether when washing, drying, or ironing. Another thing to note is that Lyocell will shrink about 3% with the first washing but will resist shrinking from then on.
